- English Teaching Forum: Published by the U.S. Department of State, offering practical ideas for ESL/EFL teachers.
- Studies in Second Language Learning and Teaching (SSLLT): Covers various aspects of second language acquisition and teaching.
- L2 Journal: Interdisciplinary, open to general audiences, covering language learning, literature, and culture.
- ELT Journal (Oxford University Press): While some content is paywalled, it’s a leading journal with some accessible articles on applied linguistics.
- ESP Today: Focuses on English for Specific Purposes in higher education.
- ELTED (English Language Teacher Education and Development): Annual journal from the University of Warwick on teacher training.
- Arab World English Journal (AWEJ): Open access with a focus on English language studies in the Arab world.
- The Journal of Asia TEFL: Quarterly journal from the Asian Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language
- Journal on English as a Foreign Language is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal on teaching and learning English as a foreign and second language. The journal follows a double-blind review policy.
