The Cambridge DELTA Diploma Online
We started offering the Cambridge DELTA online with live synchronous sessions in 2014 or so and, of course, as a result, acquired a huge amount of experience about how to deliver course content and support this course well before Zoom became the thing…..
It is true that now you can complete all 3 modules with no travel at all!!!
Module 1
The only module that may require a short trip is Module 1, which is a paper based written exam and can only be offered by a Cambridge DELTA, CELTA centre. You can find one near your town/city by going through the Cambridge “Find a Teaching Qualification Centre” search in your region.

Our centre is, of course, available for our own candidates as well as external candidates from nearby countries.
Module 2
Two course options are offered for Module 2 only candidates:
- A part-time online 20-week course option with start days usually in January, June and October.
- A full-time online 8-week course option with start dates in June and September.
Teaching Assessments can now be done online or offline – the system is very flexible. See below how. You can be assessed teaching in one of the following ways:
- our own volunteer students online
- your own online students,
- your own offline students in your own offline classroom (tutor observing remotely via Zoom)
- our own offline students in Athens (involves travel to Athens after the online leg of the course)
Module 3
This module is run completely by distance and requires you to research one of your own classes (option 1) or your own institution if you choose to go for the ELT Management option (option 2)
